Leisa has just relocated from London to Sydney where she joins the Digital Transformation Office in the Australian government as Head of Service Design and User Research. Theres, she is building a multidisciplinary team focused on transforming public service design.

In her previous role as Head of User Research at the UK Government Digital Service in the Cabinet Office, Leisa led a team of user researchers who work in agile, multidisciplinary teams to help continuously connect the people who design public services with the people who use them. The user research team ensures that government understands what user needs really are and supports experimentation as well as ongoing learning in iterative service design.

She is most proud of helping to build a cross-government community of UK user researchers that now includes dozens of skilled, enthusiastic professionals who share knowledge and experience across departmental boundaries, and who have made a real difference in the design of services used by millions of people every day across the country.

Previously Leisa has worked as a consultant to clients including Virgin Atlantic, BBC, HSBC, The Economist, Transport for London, University of Surrey, the Drupal community, Tourism Australia, Moo, SkimLinks and Touchnote and many others.
